We headed to good 'ole Windermere on Lake of the Ozarks this weekend for the annual Gateway family retreat. It was great to get out of town! Jimmy even managed to get out of work early so we left Friday afternoon. Every year our church brings in a speaker and worship leader and we have a couple of sessions and then we have free time to swim, etc. Samuel decided to take a 3 hour nap during our afternoon free time, so I was in the room with him, but not I'm not complaining about getting to take a nap. It was a great time of being challenged, refreshed, encouraged and getting some bonding time with the hubby. Love that!

I haven't uploaded the three pics I took from the retreat, but here's a cute one of my guys from Samuel's first "movie night" with us a couple of weeks ago. We watched Toy Story and let him eat snacks in the living room. Yep, life on the edge! He loved it.



I know it comes as no surprise when I say I'm an adoption junkie. I love hearing people's stories and learning about their journey. This week, two families we know (one from church and one from blog world) are traveling to pick up their kiddos! Yea! If you want to follow along, check out the blogs below.
